Back a million years ago, the middle 1970s, when I worked in a gun shop (before I owned my own shop)we carried these pistols. The three models were basically identical: One is .38 with an exposed hammer, one in .357 with a bobbed hammer and it's twin with an exposed hammer. The .38 sold for $160 while the .357s went for $185. Keep in mind that at the time you could buy a S&W Model 38 Bodyguard for $130 and a Model 60 for $140 so the SI pistols were not being sold a cheaper alternative to the Smiths. One of the features that the SI pistols did have right out of the box were the finger groove (so called) combat stocks, something that S&W would adopt later. These were nice pistols and very well made but the problem was that it is very tough to sell what is basically a copy of an S&W J-Frame when you can buy a real S&W J-Frame for less money. 0 -
Well :
Believe it or not , after all these years , I now have three (3) of these !!!
two (2) in the 38 spl. configeration and One (1) in 357 !!!
and , one of our 'used gun distributors' that we buy from in the shop had a couple more on a 'used gun list' , But I missed them by a few minutes or would have even more ???
Go Figure !!!
Thanks !!!
