45 410 barrel can i shoot 3 inch shells from this barrel

  You should be able to. I know the Contender 45-410 barrels are chambered for the 3" shell. The encore being stronger should also be. I use nothing but 3" in my contender for hunting.

  The correct answer is YES. T/C's 45 Colt/410 barrels have always been chambered in 3" for the Encore. Remember though, they have an internal choke to stop the shot from spinning, that must be removed when you fire 45 Colt, or 410 slugs thru it.

  I bow to the superior knowledge of the board,but when I bought my Contender I was told 2 1/2" shells ONLY
