model 37 wincheseter
Just acquired M37 16 guage, red letter,with pig tail lever. Gun appears to be original except for red rubber recoil pad. What is length of pull for original gun without buttplate? Gun is about 75% overall any idea of value?

Thanks Win12, stock has'nt been cut, measures 13 3/4", any idea where I can get original butt plate? And what should I look for to be sure of proper era? I believe this is a first year gun. 0 -
You're welcome. The correct buttplate for an early Model 37 would be the black plastic plate with the round Winchester logo in the center that was used until about 1956. Try Numrich Gun Parts Inc. for one. If they don't have one, post in the want ads here on gunbroker or do a Google search. I think there are reproduction buttplates available, but I don't know who makes them. Good Luck. 0
