Thank you, kind sir, for getting this over to me (us?).

    As always, Joe

    givette,

Just trying to keep things moving around here and the interest level up.

Besides, it ought to be fun to watch considering the dearth of good programming on TV these days.

    Best.

I am looking forward to it. Iain Harrison, a competitor on the show from Oregon, is a friend of a friend. I hope to see some good shooting (and not a lot of reality show B.S.)

    ...Ahhh post number 357.

I saw it last night. Good show, although I question some of the "stunts".

Typical "reality" show. Bunch of macho posers with a babe, a kid, and an old guy for variety. The hunk who couldn't hit the proverbial barn didn't even get voted off.

I agree. But the "hunk" did get eliminated in a shoot-off.

    I've sighted in a new-to-me 1903 at 100 yards in less than 30 shots.

Anyone else possess this amazing capability?

    Edit:

Thanks, kimi. I never realized how special I was until watching that show.[:)]

Pretty sure I could NOT have done what that youngster did at 400 and 600 yards as quick as he did it, though.

Apparently Top Shot is not the value that I was hoping for. It seems that the History Channel and all of its derivative stations look to the Xerox machine in an attempt to clone the same types of shows endlessly, in the hope of capturing the larger portion of the mindless viewing audience in the U.S. There is so much potential for a quality shooting/competition show yet we get stuck with the dregs of the worst ideas a producer can come up with.

I have written a letter of severe condemnation to the History Channel and the producers of this abomination, expressing my extreme displeasure with their idea of entertainment. Hopefully thousands of others will follow suit and the show will get cancelled before another horrific display of stupidity is aired.

My apologies to the members for wasting their time.

    Best.
