Browning High Power ?
Anyone ever run into a Browning High Power or maybe a clone, with what looks like Arabic writing on it? Info would be appreciated.

Hi-Powers have been used by a awful lot of countries over the last 75 years, as their military handgun. Unless you can be more specific, it will be kind of hard to pin it down. Quality photos would be best. 0 -

We need photos or a much better description. In the mean time rufe-snow and I will imagine that it is one of the very scarce Muscat and Oman first model contract pistols (I'd even settle for a second model). 0 -

No joke, the Muscat and Oman pistols (in two variations) are extremely rare and possibly the most valuable of all the production FN High Powers.0 -

Don't get your hopes up.
From what I can gather (and I defer to anyone with more knowledge), the Browning "Sultan of Muscat and Oman" contract pistol was made in limited quantity, and is notable for an external extractor and adjustable sights.
Here is an image I scrounged off the web. Again, note the external extractor an interesting marking:
Edit, note that I don't see any Arabic markings on that image.
The Hi-Power is (and was) widely used in the Middle East. Israeli Military Police still carry them, as one example, and lots of them are being used in Iraq. In fact, supposedly Saddam Hussein used to personally carry one.0 -
