Henry Rifles are excellent. They are reliable and made in the USA. Here is a link for more info...

I'm thinking about getting a lever action one. Any recommendations?

I bought a 357 Mag 'Big Boy' mainly because I wanted a low recoil lever action rifle chambered in something I already shot. As noted above, the Henry action is smooth as silk, and the workmanship of the rifle is very good, IMO, for what you pay.

Get one in a chambering you already own, and enjoy.

Start yourself off with a .22LR "Golden Boy". Cheap ammo, fun to shoot, easy to clean, and purty as a newborn calf!

"Golden Boy" looks good but cost too much. I'd probably get a blue one with octagon barrel.[:)]

Good idea as the blued version is about $100 cheaper than the "Golden Boy". I have one of each but only shoot the blued one. Have fun!
