Question about Marlin Firearms....
I noticed an ad on Gunbroker that states that Marlin Firearms are closing there plant in 2011 and I believe it says are going to quit making firearms. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT OR JUST A RUMOR THAT IS GOING AROUND? THANKS................CookE

Marlin sold out to Remington and so did Harrington-Richardson. 0 -
In your opinion would this be a good time to start hoarding Marlins, such as Marlin 39 Golden A and the Mountie? Thanks...........CookE 0 -

It would probably be a good investment. Here's Marlin's plan:

If you are gonna go after marlins, get the calibers that were the rarest and get the ones that were only made for a short time. just look at what sky rocketed when Winchester went out. 9422's, 9410's and case colored guns. 0 -
Good luck. I think you will find that several other folks had this same ideal some time ago. 0 -
spider: checked the link. after you read the word "global" in corporate speak everything else in the artical will be BS. it means we dont't just want some of the money we want all of the money. going to go look for some marlins, if not too late. 0
