Are you looking for original rifles or some sort of USA made receiver to build your own rifle on a parts kit? The Yugoslavian M70 series receivers produced by Zastava and imported by American Arms and Mitchell Arms use the heavy receiver. Ohio Ordnance produces their own receivers which are 1.25mm in thickness.

I believe the VEPR was also built on a 1.5 mm reciever, and had the RPK reinforced front trunion. It will be next to impossible to get one if it is not here already in the states.

    Best

    EDIT 1

Seems like you have a good list there already.

    Yugo, imported by mitchell.

    m64
    m64a
    m64b

    M70b1
    M70ab2

they also made a SMG in 7.62x39 similar to the "krinkov" but it has a underfolding stock instead of a side folder.

the chinese AKMs had thicker recievers too.

    Grumble [:p][:p]:

    1.0 mm stamped receivers:
Russian, most Commie Bloc/Warsaw Pact (Hungarian, Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian, etc), Egyptian (Maadi).

    1.5 mm stamped receivers:
    Chinese (Norinco/Polytech), Serbia (Yugoslavia/Vastava), Finnish (Valmet/Sako).

Edit: I was just joking about the "grumble" bit.

If you care about such things as 1.0 vs 1.5mm receivers, then you probably want a milled receiver!

I figured as much so I was just razzin ya back; I already have some milled AK's and wanted to look into some AKM's, but prefer the 1.5mm over the 1.0mm even though it is slight, although I could change my mind later...
