Some makes of pistols support the head area of a cartridge better then others . I feel once bulged a case may have been stressed beyond the point That I want to trust it. I have shot close to 400,000 rounds of 45ACP and have had 2 KABOOMS . These occurred with a light target load but a combination of thin walled case Remington UMC and .451 Bullet allow the bullet to get pushed down in the case when pushing against the feed ramp during loading. All it did was blow the magazine out and grips off the gun . [:0] Not fun but no damage . However I have seen cases blow and set off other rounds in the magazine this causes much more damage to pistol and not good for the shooters hand. I feel if my pistol had been one of the brands that have less chamber support I could have injured or even lost my hand . I throw any bulged case I see in the trash. I have a brass catcher and only use Brass That has been shot in My pistols. YMMV
