Can someone tell me if a 66 made in 1974 ( Pinned and recessed) is more desirable then one with the dashes? I understand that each time they made a change in design the dash and number was changed. Were the changes made to make the gun better or to cut production costs? Just curious. I just purchased a no dash.

  Like dano says...the Models with no dash number are the more desirable ones...providing they are in really good 90%+ or better.

  I'd venture about 20/80.
  
  I wish I had my old P&R M66 back, but for serious use, all other things being equal, I believe a flush-cut cylinder would be better, since fouling builds up more easily in the recesses and causes the cylinder to drag.
