remington model12 pump 22

were there differant grades of this rifle,mine has a pistol grip and is checkered with octagonal barrel,butt plate is marked remington UMC rifle shoots all three 22s and works perfect,Iwas told it was grade model because of the tiger striped maple wood,any help or info thanks

  sounds like an exceptional little rifle. get it if you can. the 12-c in standard grade in good condition i have seen go for 500.00+
