Sig P226 magazines in a Ruger PC9
I recently acquired a Ruger PC9. My carry piece is a Sig P226 (9mm) and I wanted to utilize the same magazines in both.
Well, with a little time and effort, magazines for a P226 can be modified to work in a PC9 by milling a hole in the front of the magazine body.
Here's the measurements:

After the modifications, I tested the magazines in both my 226 and the Ruger. The magazines and the pistol/rifle functioned flawlessly. No jams, no feed issues; nothing. The 226 magazines are a snug fit in the magazine well of the Ruger, but insertion/removal requires hardly any effort and is easily accomplished.
Anyhow....
Just wanted to share this with any of you who may have considered it and wanted interoperability of the same magazine.

Why not just buy some mags?
Why carry two different magazines when I can have the same magazine that functions in both the rifle and pistol?0
