help me id this revolver
i know if i had a pic it would help out more.but at the time camera is not working.ok let me try to explain this to you all.first off it kinda looks like a cheap knock off of a S@W but it is not marked with much of any thing it is nickle plated,it has a 4/12 inch barrel on the barrel is marked 32 wct ctg,but the real strange part is how the cylender opens.there is a up down lever on the left side just in front of the cylender back at the rear of the barrel.the cylender swings out so it is not a break top.i sure wish i had a pic to post

It is probably a Spanish knockoff. It looks like a S&W but will be different internally, as well as the odd cylinder latch.
They sold guns in .32-20 because they were set up to make barrels of about the right I.D. for 8mm French Lebel from WW I contracts, so all it took was a new chamber reamer to have an American caliber to sell.0 -
oh ok thanks now what im wondering is what the heck do you call these revolvers.see im looking to get a couple parts for it but i have know idea what to look under.i have been to numrich arms several times but i dont know how to list it i mean it isn't a smith it isn't a ruger so just what the heck is it called.or would it be listed under cheap made peice of junk.geez i just dont know ?????? 0 -

EDIT: I hate to discourage you, but your project isn't worth doing. There were a number of manufacturers, a variety of models, & most were assembled with some hand fitting. So, parts from one are unlikely to work in another gun, even from the same maker. Neither Numrich nor anyone else will invest the time to scavenge parts for the few folks looking for them. I put mine in my "turn in" bag (POS guns that, some day, the libs will offer $50 each if we turn them in).0 -
I found a sketch of a similar Spanish made revolver, with a vertical latch in front of the cylinder. It was made by Benito Guisasola of Eibar Spain, and is supposed to date to the 20's. Other then the cylinder release it's just a mediocre quality knock-off, of a S & W Military and Police model
If you put it on the auction, use quality photos. You might get a collector who would be interested, because it's such a unusual design.0 -
nmyers it is real close like that but the cylender on mine looks a little different and my latch is about twice the size of yours..thanks alot 0
