Lee Alox help needed

My question is, I am using non-gas check bullets for a .357 revolver. It is an old Lee mold, 170 gr. SWC. I will be loading both .38 and .357 loads, none will be hot, under 1150 fps. Should I just lightly tumble the bullets in the Alox, then run them through the sizer? Will the sizer (Lee) take lube off and require re-lubing Or is their a step I am missing?

    Need to relube after going through sizer.

    Should I wait long after last lube before seating? Should they cure long?

    Mine generally dry within an hour depending on humidity.
    Then I will seat them, however I lube and let dry over night and then store them.
    I like the lube,helps reduce leading.

    Lube after sizing as others noted. Warm the plastic Alox container in a pot of hot water so the Alox is soft and flows easy. Use a one gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure. Put a small amount of the liquefied ALox in the bag and 50 bullets. Close the zipper, and rotate the bag so all the bullets are coated. Dump out on a piece of waxed paper so the bullets won't stick. After they dried for a short time put them into another zipper bag with white motor mica powder that Midway sells. The white powder will adhere to the Alox lube already on the bullets making them dry and easy to handle. The motor mica powder provides additional protection against leading.

    After I seat the bullets you can use odorless mineral spirits to wipe the expose lead tips, plus it will remove any lube from sizing so you have a clean ammo for your gun.

    After casting the bullets, roll in alox. Let dry. I usually let them sit overnight. Maybe stir them once to get to what is on the underside of the bullet.

    Now then.... load one round as is, with the bullet unsized. If it chambers without resistance, you are good to go.

    Otherwise, run through the sizer, re-lube, and let dry again.

    It really sounds like you either don't have the directions that came with it or didn't read them. I suggest you do so. Most problems folks have with Lee liquid alox comes from NOT reading the directions.

    I respect what others like to do, but personally find a small plastic tub far easier than a zip lock bag and far less wasteful of lube. Also- never found the need for ground mica dust, as if it is really dry- and it DOES take more than an hour unless it is really hot and dry out- it is NOT tacky. Finally- yes, you can wipe the noses of the bullets once loaded, but you don't have to. It's a cosmetic choice.

    Thanks for all the help, I did read the directions, but thought I'd get some user's advise on it. What I did is I lubed them, ran them through the Lee sizer, re-lubed, let dry overnight, loaded. Worked great, look forward to trying them at the range.
