NAA Black Widow - Any Comments?

My wife believes this will be her next carry pistol, she likes the weight, feel, etc.

I have no experiance with these revolvers without a trigger guard, and would appreciate any information you folks can provide.

Safety? SA only, so this shouldn't be a problem?

Reliability?

Point-and-shootability?

    i have one that i keep in my truck. i keep it with me when i get out to pump gas.. say in a not so safe enviroment. anyway, it is better than nothing at all. as far as pointing...nah.. accurate...nah. up close and personal... yeah. it is very safe to carry. it is made to put the hammer down between the shells in the cylinder.
    myself, i got my wife the beretta tip open .22 auto. acurate...yes.

    i carry a magnum in my pocket everywere i go..i like it better than my walther TPH 22..sounds like a 38 when it goes off[^]almost forget its there[;)] if you get the 22lr get some aguila 30gr HP at 1780fps same amount of close up damage on a heavy burn barrel as a magnum

    If you buy a Black Widow be sure to get one with the new cylinder pin.
    The one you have to pull down & twist a tab to remove the pin.
    The older pin jumps forward on recoil & jambs the cylinder making it a very slow single shot pistol. NAA will replace the cylinder pin for free but you have to pay for the shipping both ways & the pistol must be worked on for the new pin.

    Some of us were shooting at an old junk car with a Black Widow at about 20 yards and I dont think anyone hit it but me.I shot and the headlight exploded.Everybody told me what a great shot that was.I was shooting at the windsheild.

    it is made for 25 foot shots.. i can do that with mine all day

    I have had one for about ten years - 22 mag. Mine is suprisingly accurate for a belly gun. When I first got it, shot a 5 shot group, off hand, at about 12 long steps --- 2 1/2". I like it.

    I don't like triggerguardless handguns for self defense because they seem easier to slip out of your hand when drawing and when cocking.
    Like many of my era, single action Colts were considered the optimum one shot stop, self defense handgun.
    I subscribed to this until I read a south of the border account of a couple of cowboys or lawmen, I forget which, besting a larger group of Mexican desperados who had SAAs while the Yankees has 1911s.
    Not that I believe the 1911 is the best carry gun, it's that the semiauto is a better choice for self defense.
