None that I know of. Most are tube fed or single shot top feed like the old Ithaca. Some of the semi-auto's feed from the side of the butt stock but I've not seen or heard of one that loads from the side of the action itself.

Truly you are the man! I'd love to see one of those 1891's, or hear from somebody that has one? Sounds like a really neat design.

Marlins and Henrys are tube-fed and do not load through a side gate.0 -
And the Ruger has the rotary clip, which works better for me than the tube feed and is interchangable with a 10/22 auto loading type .22. I have a Marlin lever action from the 1970's which is really accurate (and heavy) 0 -
To the best of my knowledge, the only side-loading lever-action .22 rimfire rifle was the early production (first 5,000) Marlin Model 1891 rifle. 0 -
