There completely different. If you have the opportunity to buy one of the .22 Luger replicas, go with the Stoeger.

The German made Erma'a are mostly made of Zinc, (potmetal) die castings. I have worked on a number of them over the years. They are not durable do to their construction. Also very sensitive to the ammo used and magazine condition.

The Stoegers are much better quality IMHO then the Erma's. Be advised though that the Stogers haven't been made since the mid 80's. And there were different manufacturers and qualities when they were in production. If you intend to shoot it, be sure to test fire before buying if possible.

berdes......have both and shot both. Rufe has it right, the Erma is the second best for the reasons he mentions. My Stoeger (#16xxx)is a very good shooter and is a reasonable facsimile of the real deal. I would go with the Stoeger as it is better made and at least mine is more accurate than my Erma.

Thank you gentlemen. Have the Stoeger but saw an Erma for sale and thought if it was a better gun I'd sell mine and buy the Erma.
Saved me some aggravation I'm sure. Thanks.
