What is a clear barrel?
Smith and Wesson offers on its website a replacement barrel for the 22A that is a 5.5" clear bull barrel. Perhaps it's my pc but I just can't get the kind of resolution to recognize just what it looks like? Any one out there have one that can help? Thanks!

I don't know what screen you are looking at, but the barrel in question is listed as a "black bull barrel". Perhaps you are looking at the option to "clear" your shopping cart.
If you having trouble ordering from the website, I suggest ordering by phone.

Gents,
Here is a link to a "5.5 inch Bull Barrel Clear":

I suspect that the description is for a CLEAR-COATED barrel, as in: "clear-coated to protect the finish". Here are some more "clear" barrels:

...and, this one, with a "Clear Finish":

I think BigLoop is on to it. It has to do with the finish. I think gray with a protective coat. Here is the term used on a different site.
"1) 18" w/c & (4) 20" Clear (grayish tint) Anodize Barrel Matte Finish. Protects the matte finish from scratches & soiled finger prints."0
