Help - Soft gun case handles??

Money is tight these day at the house or I would buy a new one. The soft case straps have broke that hold the handles to the case. This case is leather on the out side and lamb skin/fur on the inside. The info I'm looking for is how to attach new handles to the case with the old straps being broke. Thanks for any ideals!!

  Speedy stitcher awl, do it yourself. They cost about $5.
