    Does anybody know if this gun was put out by Colt?

    thats a good price--it's a newer colt--they list new model 70 Series guns on their website-but not with the upgrades yours has. Are you sure it's a 70 Series as it will say so on the slide if it's a new one--COLT'S MKIV/SERIES 70. The new models are pretty much bone stock though. They do have other models in their lineup that more closely match the gun you are looking at though. Also the rear sights being used by Colt these days are not Heine's--they are using 3 dot standards, Novak's, Bomar's & Elliasons so maybe someone bought a new model 70 series and upgraded it. Either way $600 isn't a bad deal. Also possible that a distributor ordered some that way.

    For that price BUY IT I think 71Bxxx would be the REMAKE of the original series 70. I think the sights trigger and grip safety on yours were all much later then the original series 70 so I would rather have the factory remake with these parts factory installed then a original series 70 that someone unknown install aftermarket parts. either way still one heck of a good price.

    O K i got the gun, went out to gun range, range master said it is all colt has 3# trigger pull very accurate this is what it has on the slide COLT MK IV/SERIES 70,GOVERNMENT MODEL--right side is 71B2407 & wood diamond grips,hope to post pics. later, and with all else that i posted the first time total cost with tax-- 649.43quote:Originally posted by NOAH
