decorative steel barrels?

Were there any turn of the century mainstream shotgun manuafacturers that offered modern steel barrels that were finished to appear similar to fancy Damascus barrels? If so, can someone direct me to some pictures or information on factory produced barrels like this? Thanks

  There were a few guns manufactured that had barrels acid etched (similar to photo engraving) to resemble Damascus Steel. They were few in number and the process was quite expensive...aka, short lived.

  Yes, and you can verify whether they're Damascus or faux by examining a polished section under the forend.
