Firing Pin Dragging?
I have several Sig pistols that I reload for. Calibers are .45 (P220 & P245) and .380 (P238). I have been seeing signs of a dragging firing pin (as near as I can tell). My primers look similar, to the photo only the scrapes are thinner in width. Im using CCI primers both LP and SP. All primers are set just below flush with the face.
Any ideas on what might cause this? (Picture is an example, I dont have pics of my exact rounds, but found these online and they look similar). Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not an expert on semi-auto pistols, but if I recall correctly, firing pin drag marks on primers are due to the firing pin still being extended when the barrel begins to drop out of lock when it is moved down by the connector link or the angled cut in the barrel block.
It can be considered normal in some guns, but can be a sign of timing problems, recoil spring strength issues or by the mainspring holding the firing pin extended in non-rebounding designs. Again, that's subject to correction by a knowledgeable person.0 -
This is very common with some brands and models of semi auto pistols . I Think but can not confirm That your make and model is one of these . I cant confirm because I stay away from that make and model. 0
