I don't think ten answers will cover this.
One picture DEFINITELY isn't enough to give a detailed answer here. For example, its hard to positively ID a gun still in a holster, let alone estimate its fair market value!
I for one can only definitively identify a few of the guns based solely on this image (eg 1911-style pistol, two lugers, a P38, Lee-Enfield rifle, etc), and even then these are just best guesses. Its impossible to tell just from this image what caliber the guns are, whether or not they are originals or clones, let alone evaluate their conditions enough to give a good fair market value.
I'd say as a VERY rough first approximation, that we've got nine longarms and nine pistols. A few of the pistols and rifles look like milsurp, and from this remote distance none of the rest appear to be all that remarkable. Most of them look like "shooters" (ie working guns) rather than pristine collectors' guns.
Ballpark total value of the collection ought to be at least $4-5k if sold separately, and if there are any "gems" in there, it could be a good bit higher.
In terms of the shotgun, by eye in the image, its probably OK. The bit left of the stock suggests that whomever cut it down was trying to keep it legal. That is, someone who was cutting it down either ignorant of the law, or oblivious to it, would probably have cut off ALL the buttstock and bit more of the barrels.
But yeah, a quick measure of the barrel and overall length with a tape measure isn't a bad idea to prevent misunderstandings!0 -
Center rifle with all the mildew [Shudder!] is a P14/P17 Enfield. Center pistol (P08)..I'd love to see [closeups of] all its markings, esp. the medallion on the right grip panel. Best, Joe 0 -
HenryOReily.......you are right..a tall order! A first look I don't see any "high valued targets" in the bunch. Some need a good cleaning! Need to see most close up to make a good evaluation. Anything from this distance is just a guess. If it was a "lot" sale, I would offer him $200 per gun and I do the clean up and research. So, $3600 for the lot. Most of the guns, if not all, have been "worked on" by someone (Kyle?) so the collector value of those is nil. A couple might have value if they have not been messed with and are matching but would take close ups to know for sure. So, $3600 to ?" 0 -

I think that the .22 to the left of the moldy Enfield is a Remington model 24. It is a neat little gun, and it looks to be one of the best of the long guns.
Looking on the auction side - maybe in the $200 - $300 range.0 -
