LLAMA experts needed

I have two older llamas one is gold with fake ivory grips
and the other is chrome w/ fake ivory grips
both are engraved one is a 22 cal and the other is a 380 cal.
very nice shape on both of them and i have a box for one [380]
they are in a wooded engraved box on display.
i can get pictures and send them to you if needed.
What and how do I determin years and worth ?
they will go on Gb once i get this info.so if you got some knowlage please let me know.

    DOM can be determined by one of the Spanish proof marks, which is a coded date. The Llamas were imported by Stoger starting in the 50's.

    If you can get hold of one of their Shooters Bible catalogs from that time frame you will see the engraved and plated Llama pistols similar to yours. I don't remember at this late date, but the engraved/plated ones weren't that much more expensive then the plain jane blued ones.

    I would go on the on line auctions to see what the standard blued Llamas are actually selling for. Figure your fancy ones to be worth 25% more. Llamas were never considered high quality big buck collectors items, even if they were plated and engraved.
