Win. Model 12 & 97 Magazine Plug Question

Will a factory plug marked Win. model 12 23/4 & 3" fit a model 97 Win.? I looked at the factory parts list and the part numbers are different. The 97 is a take down model. Does anyone know? Thanks

  It sure will, they were used interchangebly and the original Winchester plugs were stamped 12 & 97.
