Winchester O/U shotguns
So I'm starting to narrow down to a few brands to focus on, I plan on buying a nice over and under and many recommended the Winchester so my question is where should I focus I have seen the following listed on gunbroker
101
select field
91 field
Supreme sporting
select white traditional
select 101 limited
101 xtr
then I see Nikko and Miroku tossed in the mix are these high quality clones?
Thanks

Take a look at the Berettas. 0 -
...or brownings. Winchester never really made an over under. 0 -
I have a very nice Win 101 Select Field up on the auction side. It is a very tight well made O/U. The 101 has been around a long time. They must be doing something well.

I also have a really nice Remington ISP and Browning Citori.

many recommended the Winchester (101)
Thanks
i too will recommend the 101, i had one of the very first production models in Full/Full, 28" barrels, i used it for all my bird hunting, Trap & Skeet shooting, shot a perfect 1,000/1,000 with it, i gave up shooting it and gave it to my youngest son.
in my OPINION that 101 was the best shotgun ever made and i had many shotguns before, every type ever made.0 -
Still was not made by Winchester. 0 -
101 is a great gun, I have one I turkey hunt with. Its just not a Winny. 0 -
The newer Select Energy series are great ones too. They are made in Belgium by FN. Those are the same onew who make the Brownings. In all actuality, Winchester has not made a gun for themselves since 1980. They were one of the first to let their bean counter's take over.

all shotguns listed are good. one thing to check before buying any over under is availability of parts. some o/u shotguns are very hard to find parts for. 0 -
Don't rule out an older used Belgium Browning Superposed if you're looking for a 12 gauge. The Superposed 12 gauge is still a great value compared to other over & unders. 0 -
djh860.......I happen to love my o/u Citori. Great at the range, great in the field. You might want to take a peek at one of them also. 0
