Scope Rings for a NEF. rifle

I am getting a NEF. rifle set up for a grandson. I cannot get the scope on without it being hit by the hammer. What scope rings do I need to get?

  Higher than the ones you have . If you have low , try mediums etc. etc. A hammer extension is also a good idea , so that the thumb doesn't have to go directly under the scope to cock the rifle ! Aren't grandchildren great fun?

  High and super high are the only ones that I have tried that will work on the NEF rifles.[8D]

  High and Super High depending on scope you are putting on.. Problem is if he is not "big" enough he will have trouble seeing through the scope because its too high ..a Hammer extension is a must and it should have come with the gun..
