Sig P 220 Remove Hammer Spring

Work at a shop Gunsmith is not in and I have a ? regarding pulling the Hammer spring out of my 220 to replace with a lighter spring to test and see if I like it and if it's reliable

  Take the grips off. Push the hammer pin out, and let hammer and strut go up and out. This is for old model.
  For new model, with grips off, just leave hammer down and push up on the main spring seat and change spring.

  Thanks for the info. Thats what it looked like but wanted to make sure prior to doing it.
