1894 SxS remington cell phone photo's added
I have a Remington 1894 SxS 12 gauge , in good shape, ordinance barrels, auto ejectors, all matching A grade,no engraving. It has British proof marks under the barrels, and missing the butt plate, any info, or value ideas would be great. And yes, it has British proof marks, got kicked off a different forum cause they said i was making it up.
PS. sorry if the cell phone photo's are not to clear.

the British 'proofs' are certainly possble (I've seen a Win. 1886 with them). Finding a butt plate will be a challenge but you may find a reproduction. as to price ??, check the action side. 0 -
Probably a commercial export.
During WW2 a great number of American small arms of every description were sent to defend against a feared invasion.
I've seen some of those guns that were bought back and resold here.
They were proof marked in tons pressure.0 -
barrels are marked ordnance, i would think the barrels are original since the serials match to the action.I have been wondering about the forend on weather it is original or not, is their a way to tell? As soon as i get a new cable for my camera, i can get more detailed photos up. 0 -
here is the best pic's i cam get, and thank you for the help Barzillia, just trying to get a ball park figure on a few things in my collection.
I have no ideas as to the damage on the rib across the top of the barrels is its to spots on each side of the Remington logo, I venture to guess missing sights.
