Finding date of Mfgr for a Winchester

Hey all. I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find it within the search option. Is there a way to tell the age of a Winchester rifle?

What model Winchester?
There's a sticky at the top of the page that has lots of details about 94s.

It's a Model 70 Capt. I don't think it's anything special I just would be happy if it's pre 2000.

If it is a true WINCHESTER, then yes, there is readily available DOM information. If your Model 70 is a U.S. Repeating Arms Co. manufactured rifle, then you are out of luck unless you call them.
