Remington nylon model 66
I found a Remington nylon model 66 today. I am not sure if there is something fishy.
First the price under $200.
Second the receiver is a flat finish almost like it was bead blasted and blued.
Third stock is black with pronounced blue streaks.
Forth diamond is black not white.
Is this an odd variation or a molested mess

Sounds like either an a mess, or someone at the factory dropped a Smurf in the plastic when it was still hot, creating a one-off custom.[:D] 0 -
junk, walk away cause you don't know what they did to the inside 0 -
$200? What's the question? Buy it and re sell it. 0 -
Sounds like the value priced Apache 77, sold at K-Marts near the end of production. Not a mess, and collectible. 0 -

Its like #2 but with blue streaks and swirls #2 looks to have gray and brown but it is hard to tell. I would guess it isn't a 77 as it is tube fed through the stock and it has blue swirls not green. Is the flat finish correct on the 66?0 -

Yes it is on some,,,for 200 buy it.0 -
Its a late production model, they had the matte finish. Sounds like a Black Diamond model 66, they only made 56K of them. I would buy it if its not all scuffed up and no rust to speak of. Its a deal at that price.
Don't forget to come back and show up some pics.0
