Looking for some help. I came across an H&R self eject 5 shot revolver with hammer. It is nickel plated with a blued trigger and housing. i have spent days on web sites and cannot find this gun. They are 6 shot, 7 shot, 5 shot hammerless....too many serial numbers too little....all nickle, all black..etc. Barrel reads Harrington and Richardson Arms Company(top line). Worcester, Mass. U.S.A,PAT. OCT.4.87.APR2.95.APR7.96.(Bottom Line). Cylinder is stamped 530. When cylinder is removed you can see 01 05 30. I am just wondering if it is worth anything. Like I said, it has minor characteristics that I am not seeing anywhere on line. Once again, 5 shot, break barrel revolver in nickel and blue with hammer. Any help would be much appreciated.

you don't say if it is a 5 shot small frame 32 S&W or a 5 shot large frame 38 S&W. i will assume it is a large frame 38 Auto-Ejecting and not the small frame Premier. serial number O 10530 was manufactured in 1894 it is a second model 4th variation.

VALUE 100%=$225 60%=$85 For all Auto-Ejecting 2nd Models; add 75% premium for 2?" barrel; add 25% for 4", 5" & 6" barrels; add 15% for blue finish; add 10% for 1st , 2nd, 3rd & 4th variations with nickel trigger guard on nickel finish pieces
if by some chance it is a small frame it would be a premier chambered for 5 32 S&W cartridges and would be a first model 3rd variation 1897-1898. however i do not believe they were using the O (or zero) first digit to the serial number at this time on this model.

Thanks a lot for the info. Don't know if it's a small or large to be honest. I know nothing about HR. It's a neat little piece, in excellent condition, aside from a missing front sight and I am just trying to get some history on it. Thanks again. 0 -
