Nazi Hi Power PICTURES UPLOADED

I just picked up a Hi Power which was nazi marked. It has tangent sites and frame, slide & barrel all have matching numbers. The condition is typical for a war-time hi power at a solid 85% condition. What would a "typical" value of this pistol be. Oh, by the way, the magazine is not numbered or marked (which I think may be typical as well).

I took a few pictures and uploaded them. Hopefully, this will give you a decent example of the pistol. It does have the (as mentioned earlier) "split-tail" magazine. I did not take a picture of the mag though. The stamping of the pistol is WaA103. Let me know what you think. The last few pictures detail much better what the coloration of the pistol is. I have to use different settings on my camera for close-ups and pictures at about two feet away. Those taken from about two feet away more clearly define the gun, while the close-ups show markings/stampings better. I have been looking for a decent condition one and passed one up at a gun show two weeks ago for $750. In hind sight, I probably should have grabbed it too. It did not have the tangent site and was not as good of condition as this one. Oh well, you can't get them all....at least that's what my wife tells me....

    It would be best if you could post quality photos. Cosmetics tend to be rather subjective, your 85% might be 70% to a hard core collector.

    tangent site would be early nazi perloined from factory and inspected. look for 103 stamp posibble 140 stamp is mag a split tail? is frame cut for stock? please pics..of gun and markings [:p]

    Other then the noticeable marring on the top of the slide it looks fairly descent.

    It's hard to figure the percentage of the remaining blue because of the direct lighting.

    I believe the Germans continued the serial number range from where the Belgians left off, this would more then likely make it a late 1940 to early 1941 build.

    Looks okay but not a high quality example by any stretch, although lots of folks could easily find a place for it in their collection. I think that FN produced around 100,000 of the tangent sight P-35s under German control and in the condition I see I'm thinking around $700-750. There are collector niches for various German markings but I cannot make out the stamping above the trigger or the slide on the left side. The big money is for guns stamped WaA613 so if you have that marking you are looking closer to $900 on value.

    MOONED.....I think Mark has it about right as far as value. The Germans gave up on the tangent sight around serial #140000 so yours is about half way there in the sequence. The early ones are more valuable (WaA613) and I think as to condition I would put it at 75% or so. Seen some a lot worse than what you have here.

    Thanks all for the input. I may have judged the pistol a little too high at 85%. It will still be a nice addition to my collection. I paid just under the market value you all suggested, so in the long run, I guess I did OK.
