Trying to find out about my 22 cal. On bottem of grip it says Liberty firearms corp, Montros Ca. It has two cillenders, one 22 LR, one 22 Maxie Mag, six shot single act. #723124 has an HS 215 stamp bear in a circle stamp with 82 next to it. wanted to know some history and value. thanks G Lane.

i have a 12 ga.with rabbit ears its marked on both sides of reciever ( us arms company ) its laminated steel and has all belgium proof marks. need any info on this shotgun thanks poppy 0 -
Liberty produced and imported a large number of low cost revolvers, some coming in from Italy, during the late 1970s and into the 1980s. Probably their best known model was the Mustang which was a SA western style pistol that came in a choice of rim fire calibers or as a combo and is most likely your pistol. The other big seller for Liberty was the Kodiak, which was a snub nosed DA revolver. The Mustangs are good guns and fun to shoot but there is no collector interest in them at all. Value is probably in the $75-$100 range if the pistol is in excellent condition. 0 -
It was made by the West German firm of Herbert Schmidt as their Model 21. The "82" was the year of manufacture, and the Bear is a Proof Mark from the Berlin proof house.
Schmidt revolvers were inexpensive, mediocre quality handguns. They provided these handguns to many different U.S. importers/distributors, during the late 60's to early 80's time frame. The same guns were sold under many different names. Yours with a 82 proof date is one of the later models.0 -
My guess w/o seeing a pics is that the HS stands for the Herbert Schmidt company who made pistols for import into the U.S. back in the 1960/70's. These pistols were imported and marked w/several importer/vendor names/model numbers. The most common being the FIE-E-15 "Buffalo Scout".
Do a search on the auction side for the FIE model, and see if it matches your pistol.
If so, these were cheap, but decently made guns. I've owned several over the years. In fact my 1st handgun was an E-15. Generally they are worth around $75. to $100. in good condition. perhaps $125. in Ex.
Commonly found in non/working/broken condition for $50. or so.
Really EASY to fix usually. These are a near exact, but scaled down copy of the original Colt Single Action,s.0 -
