Magazine interchangability 25/06 & 9.3x62

Have a 25/06 rifle coming and looking for a spare mag. Not likely to find exact caliber (not likely to find 270, 30-06 either). Found a 9.3x62 mag available. Magazines are steel, single-stack. Will 25/06 reliably feed through a 9.3x62 magazine?

    Have you requested external dimensions from the seller of the 9.3x62 mag? If the two mags are the same externally then the only real difference may be the gap between the upper/open lips that may be slightly adjustable by mild pressure on them. Basicly the 9.3x62 could be described as a blown out/ackleyatized -06 case and should work, IMO. Unless the mag is prohibatively expensive I say give it a try. Worst case is you put it back up for auction and resell it.

    Sorry, not trying to be cryptic, I didn't think it mattered.
    I looked at some cartridge drawings and it looked ok, but I know there are more knowledgeable folks here.
    My concern was, thinking the 9.3x62 was also called 9.3x62 Mauser and believing it may be based on the 7x57 not the 30 -06.

    FWIW the 25.06 cycles fine through my CZ 550 in 9.3X62. I'm reloading today's fired 25.06 right now, cycled a few sans powder.

    The 9.3x62 is a case which is slightly shorter than the '06 case but with the same basic dimensions otherwise. The .25-06 should feed through the magazine as long as the feed lips control the direction of the bullet nose in relationship to the ramp. Sometimes a slight tweak can be used to assist with better feeding.

    There is a 9.3x57 and a 9.5x57 cartridge as well.
