Bow cord broke

The string or cord on my bow broke. Its a compound bow.
Two questions
1 How do I buy a replacement string that will fit?

2 Can this be installed without special tools?

  Hope your ok, that can be a mess if they break at full draw. I agree, take it to your shop.

  String length should be printed on the inside of one of the limbs. It can be done without special tools but is much easier with the correct ones. It really depends on the bow.
