.357 Magnum Winchester 94s
Hi...Has anyone ever come up with a bullet/case configuration that will reliably feed in model 94 Winchester rifles? All that I've ever heard is that a qualified gunsmith needs to perform some sort of "fix" on these guns. BT

My 94AE 357 feeds 158 grain JHP 357s and flat points too just fine, factory or reloads. Seems like I've fired a few other bullet weights over the years too, and some 38s as well, and never had feed problems. What problem are you having? 0 -
mine feeds 158 grain rnfp's just fine, and 180 grain flat points too.
Those are in .357 cases.
I ran some 125 grain .38's thru it,just levered them thru, and they seemed to feed just fine, never did shoot them tho.0 -
I owned a Legacy, Trapper, and Trails End in 357 never an issue with firing 38's or 357's reloads or factory, no jams either. The Legacy with the 24" barrel was quite accurate too. 0 -

Those are a Model 92 length action, and is not as long as the Model 94. The Model 94 represents a set of special problems for feeding pistol length cases to start with. Many internals are a lot different than the longer brethern.

EDIT:
I posted incorrectly. I thought you were talking about the Legacy import, not the Legacy made by USRAC. Now they also have a 92 take down trapper comming out, and a short rifle. Like I said, though, many parts are different, and a lot of the models that popped up near the end of 2006 has a lot less care given them by a factory that was closing...just like the model 70's.

My '94AE Trapper doesn't have any problems with Gold Dots, XTPs, Oregon Trail BBSWC or FPs. 0 -
To reply to 22hipower, I've heard of the feed problems, and was just wondering what type ammo to buy to diminish feeding problems. Haven't yet experienced problems with my rifles, tho. BT 0 -
