winchester SXR
Does anybody have strong feelings about the Winchester SXR?

anybody have much experience with the SXR? I know they are very similar to a BAR but I can get the winchester for less than the browning. me and the wife both drew out for a buck mule deer hunt in southern utah this year, so i was wanting to get a new rifle for me (her). she has never shot a high powered rifle but loves to shoot shotguns. we are going to go out and shoot some different calibers of bolt actions to see how she handles the recoil but I have wanted to get an SXR for a while but wanted to hear some people opinions on them. 0 -
Same gas system I believe. 1" longer barrel in the higher power calibers, but less selection of calibers. Also, the Browning has a lever you can shoot single shot, SXR does not. I do like the Browning better, fit finish is superior and that single shot lock out is handy breaking in barrel and at range. But, I have seen some extremely good sales of SXR's, I did look at them and almost bought one. 0
