Winchester 1873
I have found a 1873 22short, however, it
can be converted to shoot longs with the
movement of a bullet stop located on the side
of the block.
The gun operates well, the finish is better
than 50% and the wood is ok.
Is this gun really rare? What is it worth?
any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have found new links from sale from buffalo arms. They want over $125 for the pair -- Has anyone ever bought these links before -- Before I'm out that much mula I would like to know if the links will last. I called them and they said that they thought the links were for the original but they couldn't swear they weren't metric for the uberti. It appears to me the original worn links I have could be reworked at a machine shop. Has anyone ever tried this and if so, was it costly. The luck I get from Ebay is that the links are usually more worn than the ones I have. People have a tendency not to take them back after I buy them off Ebay -- [^] 0
