Marlin 81 Questions

Is there a way to use a new style marlin 81 Bolt in a old style marlin 81 the bolt fits and works if I hold the trigger in but if I release the trigger to cock it. the bolt wont close all the way any ideals thanks

  Short answer- no. There were a couple of changes in the 81 over its production life, and bolts were one of the changes. Sorry.
