Colt saa barrel help

I have a colt 45 barrel saa, it's 7 1/2 inches long and in excllent shape. A smith looked at it and said by the markings and the way it's built for the ejector rod housing fit up it is a first gen barrel. Is their a demand for these parts and what do they go for?

  Any first generation part has value. However there are a number of different Barrel Markings depending on what vintage the pistol was built The early Italicwriting with a mark like a dagger at each end has the most value. Close up in focus pictures will let us tell you more. Does it have any serial number on the bottom near the back end[?]
