TC 22 Classic - Set Trigger ?

I recently purchased a very nice TC 22 Classic. In shooting it for the first time this weekend I discovered it has what I would consider a two stage trigger. Or maybe it could be called a set trigger. First sligt pull on trigger and it clicks...then continous slight squeeze fire the gun. The gun works great...cycles rounds with no problem... I was just not expected the click in the trigger.

Does anyone know if this is in fact normal?...Did TC really build the 22 Classic with some type of set trigger>

  I have a T/C .22 Classic One of 250 and it has the standard trigger.[:)]

  What you are describing is not a set trigger, just a 2-stage.
