Uberti 1866 Yellowboy

Could a Uberti 66 Yellowboy handle a 45 colt +p load? Would make a nice deer rifle in the woods of NH. 50 yard shots.

  The manufacturer's recommendations would be the last word, and I would observe whatever limitations Uberti places on the gun.

  I've shot my friends '66 and it has a brass frame plus the bolt is just like what would come on a gun back 100 years ago-don't think I would push it. Besides out of a carbine barrel standard .45 Colt loads are more than enough for deer out to 100 yards if you can do your part.
