Need help with stock repair
Ok I have a Winchester 190 that I bought at a sale and the stock was cut in half to make it shorter for a kid I guess but they glue/screwed it back together but it has a nasty cut mark in the stock how do you think I should go about fixing it or should I just replace it

Hard to say without a pic. Sounds like a candidate for replacement at least for the butt stock. 0 -
Glas up the rough places, smooth that out and paint it a camo color 0 -
Ok thanks for the info mrbruce and wpage here is a pic

MAN O MAN!! That was one rough cut!!If U drill it and use dowel pins and an epoxy or waterproof glue and clamp it while curing, then sand/refinish it should be ok.The "line will always be visable tho.
Easiest way around it, obviously, is to replace it.

thanks everyone for your info I think I will just replace it 0 -
I would glue it again to ensure it's well enough glued so the edges didn't chip at the seam, then sand it down. You'll be left with a razor thin line. 0 -
That reminds me of the movie slap shot
"What are you doing to the Bus? Making it look mean! ..
Thats a mean looking gun0 -
