GIRAUS TRIMMING TOOL.....

I have been loading for many years, but today I learned something new. I heard about this GIRAUD TRIMMER. I tried to find some information on it, but I didn't find what I wanted. Once the case in inserted into the tool that holds the case, DO YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY PUSH THE CASE UP AGAINST THE CUTTER BLADE? OR, IS THERE SOME KIND OF LEVER THAT DOES THE PUSHING? WHEN SETTING THE CORRECT LENGTH IS THERE A METER OR DO YOU JUST SET IT BY TRIAL & ERROR UNTIL YOU GET THE CORRECT LENGTH? I HOPE I EXPLAINED THIS WELL ENOUGH THAT SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS. I SEE THEY ARE UP THERE IN PRICE ($425.00). ARE THERE EVER ANY USED ONES OUT THERE ON THE OPEN MARKET?....

    I think U can find a manual case trimmer A LOT less $$ than that!!

    I DON'T WANT TO SPEND ALL MY TIME RELOADING SO I BUY THE BEST AND THE FASTEST SO I CAN GET THEM LOADED AND GET OUT THERE AND SHOOT.

    U can still only trim'em 1 at a time.Each one will prob. need a diff. amout taken off.
    U asked, i told u what i think.You're welcome, and buy whateverthehell u want.

    Do some reading on his website and then e-mail him with any questions. Many Highpower shooters along with other shooter in competition venues use this trimmer for the speed and accuracy no matter what others suggest. The price you're willing to pay is a personal decision. The reason you don't find used ones for sale often is the demand. Doug states he is about 2 to 4 weeks out on the trimmers. You might try some of the other shooting forums with 'For Sale' sections as I just saw a slightly used one come up for sale the other night.

    Don't worry about fishkiller.
    She posts some inane response on every post.

    And I use a Giraud.
    It is a huge time saver with 50 BMG, 308 and 223.
