    Did you remove the screw under the top lever?

    Top Lever? I removed a screw under the trigger guard do you mean the lever you push to open the action?

    BE VERY CAREFUL. The inletting of the action for a side lock gun is very fragile Take some close up in focus pictures from both sides and top and bottom. Like a surgeon FIRST DO NO HARM you will never get another stock if you break part of this one.

    Yes the one under the lever that opens up the gun.

    yes I just got that and now it feels loose. There is a screw under the receiver that seems to hold the trigger assembly into the gun. Do I also remove that?

    Yes. dont worry, parts are not going to go flying out.

    thanks that did it. Well when I was a boy I took everything apart and never got much of it back together. Learned the hard way to be careful.
