1864 springfield musket

I inherited this 1864 springfield civil war musket. The stock had been cut-off, but then it broke in half when my uncle hade it. Other than the stock bands and the sights(may have been used as a shotgun), it is all there and works. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement stock? Should I restore this gun?

  It really depends on the condition of the remaining parts. Has the barrel been cut? Was it bored out to a smoothbore? Can you post pics?

  You should be able to get just about any part you need here but they won't be cheap.
