Can anyone tell me if the barrels on a older Savage 220 single shot shotgun are interchangeable? Such as a 410 barrel on a 20 ga.?And vice versa? thanks in advance

I believe that the 220 is a recent Savage development, rather then dating to the 70's. It's a specialized bolt action shotgun meant specifically for those States that don't allow rifles for Deer hunting. You might do a search on the auction to see what they are selling for. That is actual selling price, not some pipe dream from a guy who lives in a fantasy world.

Rufe, the Savage 220 was a hammerless single barrel, and the 219 was the rifle version.

I have a old Savage 220A 20ga that I paid $90 for after tax and phone call. I see similar listed on GB for $125+ all the time ... I'd recommend searching completed auctions and sorting by number of bids

    Can you post pics?

Brett, the gauge should be marked on right rear of barrel as shown on this one, and you can compare condition and price sold.
