Ruger No 1-H Tropical Rifle in 404 Jeffrey

Does anyone have this rifle or had any experience with the Ruger No. 1-H Tropical Rifle in 404 Jeffrey? Is it worth having? Blue book lists it for around $520 at 98%. Thanks.

  I would not hesitate to buy or own a Ruger No. 1-H Tropical Rifle so long as it was in good physical shape. The .404 Jeffery is a superb classic cartridge in its own right. Remington and Dakota Arms both used it as a basis for their RUM and Dakota lines of cartridges. It is perfectly viable as a hunting cartridge on its own.

  Got one in 458, and other than being a little light for the cartridge, it is fine. They are much cheaper than a bolt action rifle in the big calibers.
