Question about ammo
I am looking into buying some blank ammo. It is German made and the cartridge is made of plastic. I was wondering if any of the experts on here has ever used this ammo or heard of it's reliability?

Sounds like some of the German plastic training ammunition. Depending on the caliber this was originally intended to allow low cost training with G-3 and MP-5 weapons, if you replace the standard bolt with a special bolt. If you happen to have the proper set up to fire this ammo in your MP-5 of G-3/HK-91 this stuff works great. If you don't then it is basically plain old blank ammo that allows for only single shot firing. 0 -

You're talking about the German made .223 DAG blanks (see below).
I'd imagine they're "reliable" in the sense that virtually all of them will go "bang". They're made by Dynamit-Nobel which is a quality manufacturer, and they're in current production, meaning that if you pick some up, they probably won't be a gazillion years old.
Supposedly, they make a big flash and bang. I doubt they'll cycle an AR-15 or other semi-auto action without a special muzzle adapter.
With blanks in general, you have to be careful. Even though they have no projectile, some will shoot unburned powder or small fragments. Also, I can't speak to these in particular, but they may be kind of dirty, requiring thorough cleaning of your gun.
